Education

The education department is responsible for planting the seed of protection and conservation through different programs for school age children. Its main function is to provide visiting schoolchildren a tour of the Aquarium where they are immersed in environmental education.

Schools

The Educational Department designs and implements each of its programs following the requirements of the Secretary of Education with an emphasis in sciences. We make sure to involve children in the tangible aspects that the Aquarium provides. The education programs offer:
* Support biological education
* The use of the Mazatlan Aquarium for educational means.
* Illustrate the topics covered with new and tangible examples.

Childrens's Camp

Starting in 1987, the children of the northwestern region of Mexico in the sixth grade have been invited to apply and consequently attend our ¨Conservation Camps" which cover Sea Turtles, Birds of Sinaloa and the Gulf of California.
The camps have the objective to asses and solve the environmental problems of the communities, so that through these values the communities may improve their environmental knowledge. We make sure to study the needs of the communities and instill in each child the imperative need to protect and conserve our flora and fauna.
The camps focus on providing activities both cultural and recreational that tie in the educational aspect. Different investigators and professors support and help plan our didactic approach.
