Sea Museum

The Aquarium would not be complete without a museum dedicated to our remarkable oceans. Here visitors can see skeletons of marine mammals, coral exhibitions, fishing methods and learn about our conservation and protection programs. Visiting exhibitions of art and educational themes can periodically be seen here as well.

The Aquarium's Fish Tanks

The Mazatlan Aquarium has 34 saltwater fish tanks of different volumes in which marine species like seahorses, clownfish, surgeon fish, sea turtles and octopuses are exhibited. In the 17 freshwater tanks, visitors take a peek into the world of carnivorous piranhas, air breathing lungfish, and mudskippers- an amphibious fish that uses its fins to walk!
